Low image quality

The product image fails Google's quality standards — typically because of watermarks, distracting elements or backgrounds, or size problems. Images also can't exceed 64 megapixels or 16 MB in file size.

Common causes

  • ·Watermarks on the image
  • ·Dark or distracting background colors
  • ·Image below the minimum size requirements
  • ·File exceeding the 64 megapixel or 16 MB limits

How to fix it

  1. 01Filter the 'Needs attention' tab by this issue and review each flagged image
  2. 02Replace them with clean product photos: no watermarks, no distracting overlays, within size and file limits
  3. 03Update the image_link URLs in your source data and re-upload to Merchant Center
