Image too small
The submitted product image doesn't meet Google's minimum dimensions, so the item is disapproved. Current minimums are 100×100 px for most products and 250×250 px for apparel — but Google has announced a 500×500 px minimum for all products with enforcement beginning January 31, 2027, so it's worth upgrading now.
Common causes
- ·A thumbnail URL was mapped into the feed instead of the full-size image
- ·The shop's image pipeline generates small renditions for the feed export
- ·Legacy product images that predate current size requirements
How to fix it
- 01Find affected items under Products → 'Needs attention' and check the actual pixel dimensions of each image_link
- 02Replace undersized images with versions of at least 500×500 px to be safe against the announced 2027 minimum (100×100, or 250×250 for apparel, is the current floor)
- 03Don't upscale small images — export larger originals from your shop system instead
- 04Update image_link URLs in your source data and re-upload; allow 24–72 hours
