image_link_brokenDisapproval

Unable to show image (broken image link)

Google couldn't retrieve the image URL in your feed, so the product is disapproved until a valid image is crawled. If you recently changed the image, note that Google can take days to fetch it — and up to 6 weeks if you changed the image but kept the same URL.

Common causes

  • ·The image URL returns an error, redirects, or is malformed (e.g. spaces not encoded as %20)
  • ·robots.txt blocks 'Googlebot' or 'Googlebot-image'
  • ·The server sends wrong HTTP headers (content-type or content-length)
  • ·The image is in an unsupported format or has a wrong file extension
  • ·CDN or hotlink protection blocks Google's crawler
  • ·The image was recently submitted and simply hasn't been crawled yet — an initial crawl typically takes about 3 days, up to 30

How to fix it

  1. 01Open the image_link URL in an incognito tab — it must load the image directly, without redirects or scripts
  2. 02Serve an accepted format (JPEG, WebP, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF) with the correct content-type header
  3. 03Allow 'Googlebot' and 'Googlebot-image' in robots.txt and in your CDN/hotlink protection settings
  4. 04When you replace an image, change the filename and URL too — a new image at the same URL can take up to 6 weeks to be re-detected
  5. 05Re-upload the feed with corrected URLs and allow up to a few days for the crawl
