Preemptive item disapproval (price or availability)

Google disapproved items it believes are likely to have price or availability mismatches before fully confirming each one — in Google's words, it "errs on the side of caution." It only applies to price and availability mismatches, and while affected items are down, compliant products in your account keep serving.

Common causes

  • ·A pattern of price mismatches between your feed and landing pages
  • ·A pattern of availability mismatches (items shown as in stock that aren't)
  • ·Slow feed syncs, so Google repeatedly finds stale data when it crawls

How to fix it

  1. 01Read the warning email from Google — it names example products and the issues to fix, with a timeframe
  2. 02Correct price and availability so feed and landing pages match exactly, sitewide, not just for the named examples
  3. 03Turn on automatic item updates to reduce the risk of future mismatches
  4. 04Request a review in Merchant Center; reviews of fixes typically take 3–5 business days
  5. 05Don't request reviews before fixing the root cause — unsuccessful reviews lead to a cooldown period during which you can't request another
