Inaccurate availability: feed and landing page don't match

Your product data says one thing about stock status and the landing page says another — for example the feed says in_stock while the page shows sold out. Google disapproves affected items until both agree, and repeated mismatches can trigger preemptive item disapproval.

Common causes

  • ·Inventory sold out after the last feed sync
  • ·Preorder or backorder items submitted as in_stock
  • ·A variant (size or color) is unavailable even though the product page looks available
  • ·Availability changes by region or IP address, so Google's crawler sees something different
  • ·A greyed-out or non-functional buy button on the landing page
  • ·Outdated structured data contradicting the visible page

How to fix it

  1. 01Update the availability attribute so it matches what the landing page shows, and resubmit your product data
  2. 02Increase feed sync frequency — or push updates via the API — so stock changes reach Merchant Center quickly
  3. 03Turn on automatic item updates for availability in Merchant Center as a safety net
  4. 04If you want to stop showing a product, use excluded destinations instead of marking it out of stock
  5. 05Request a review through the Policy Manager once feed and page agree; recrawls typically take 24–48 hours
