mismatched_strikethrough_priceWarning

Mismatched strikethrough price (page crawl)

The crossed-out "was" price on your landing page doesn't match the data you submitted. When this happens, Google discards the original price, so your listing loses its strikethrough (sale) display — the item usually keeps serving, just without the discount presentation.

Common causes

  • ·The strikethrough price on the page doesn't equal the price attribute when sale_price is also provided
  • ·The page shows a strikethrough price, but no sale_price attribute was submitted
  • ·The strikethrough price is added dynamically with JavaScript after the page loads
  • ·Delay between website updates and Merchant Center product data

How to fix it

  1. 01When a product is on sale, submit both attributes: price = the original (crossed-out) price, sale_price = the current selling price
  2. 02Make sure the strikethrough value visible on the page exactly equals your submitted price attribute
  3. 03Schedule feed or API uploads immediately after price changes on the website
  4. 04Consider enabling automatic item updates so Google updates prices from page crawls instead of discarding them
