Merchant Center policy violation (warning or account suspension)
Google flagged your account for a Shopping policy violation. Usually you get a warning email with examples and a timeframe to fix them; if the issues aren't resolved, the account can be suspended and all products disabled from Shopping surfaces. For egregious violations, suspension can be immediate with no warning.
Common causes
- ·Site-level problems: missing contact details, unclear return/refund policies, checkout issues
- ·Products that violate Shopping ads or free listings policies
- ·Repeated product data quality violations escalating to account level
How to fix it
- 01Read the exact policy named in the warning email and in Merchant Center's 'Needs attention' tab — fix that, not symptoms
- 02Fix the underlying site or data problem across the whole catalog, not just the example products Google lists
- 03Request a review via the 'Request review' / 'Review and fix' button; reviews typically take 3–7 business days
- 04Don't burn review attempts: after unsuccessful reviews a cooldown period disables the button, and it can lengthen with each failed attempt
