Adult-oriented content flagged or restricted

Google flagged the product as adult-oriented. Adult merchandise can still be listed in many countries, but it must be marked with the adult attribute (or an account-level setting) so it only reaches appropriate audiences — and some countries prohibit it entirely. Non-adult products sometimes get misclassified and need a corrected listing plus review.

Common causes

• ·Adult products submitted without the adult [adult] attribute or account-level flag
• ·Suggestive imagery or wording in titles, descriptions, or images triggering classification
• ·Products sold into countries where adult content isn't permitted at all

How to fix it

1. 01For genuine adult products: set the adult attribute to true (or enable the account-level adult content setting) and check country-specific restrictions
2. 02For misclassified products: remove suggestive wording and imagery from the listing, then request a review
3. 03Editing the product data triggers an automatic re-review; otherwise use the review/appeal buttons in 'Needs attention'
4. 04Account-level reviews typically take around 7 business days
