robots_txt_blockedDisapproval
Page not crawlable due to robots.txt
Your robots.txt file blocks the crawlers Google uses to check product pages and images, so Google can't verify your data and disapproves the affected items. The fix is a two-line change in robots.txt.
Common causes
- ·A Disallow rule in robots.txt covers your product pages or images
- ·A blanket 'Disallow: /' left over from a staging or relaunch setup
- ·Bot protection serving a restrictive robots.txt only to crawlers
How to fix it
- 01Open yourdomain.com/robots.txt and check the rules for 'Googlebot' (landing pages) and 'Googlebot-image' (images) — 'AdsBot-Google' also needs access for ads landing pages
- 02Allow them explicitly: add 'User-agent: Googlebot' followed by an empty 'Disallow:' line, and the same for 'Googlebot-image' (an empty Disallow means nothing is blocked)
- 03Verify with Search Console's URL Inspection tool that product pages are now crawlable
- 04Allow 24–72 hours for Merchant Center to reflect the change, then confirm the issue disappears from 'Needs attention'
